Contrary to all the speculations that has been circulating around the final retirement date of Kumar Sangakkara it seems he will finally finish off his international career at the end of the second Test against India at the P Sara Oval on August 30.
Sangakkara was initially set to sign off after the first Test against India in Galle, but a change of dates in the Indian itinerary has led to him reconsidering his retirement date.
According to sources Sangakkara is due to play two Tests against Pakistan and two against India before ending his Test career. He has already retired from ODIs and T20Is.
Sangakkara is due to leave with his family for the UK at the end of the ongoing second Test against Pakistan at the P Sara Oval to continue his contract with English county Surrey.
He is due to return on August 14 to play in the first Test against India in Galle on August 18 and then the second Test at the P Sara Oval on August 26 where he will make his final appearance for his country, ending a distinguished 15-year career.
