Old Sokians, Ambalangoda inflicted the first defeat on the Old Peterites by a single point (47/46), in the ongoing 2nd Schools Old Boys, Over-35 Basketball Championships, conducted by Masters Basketball Sri Lanka, continued for the third weekend at the MCA court.

In the same age group, the Old Bens scored their third successive win beating Old Christonians, 57/42. Old Devans, Kurunegala notched up their first win, as they snatched a one point win over Old Joes (42/41); Old Senanakians completed their quota of four matches winning their last league game, beating Colombo International School Old Boys 49/32, thus finishing with two wins and two defeats.

In the mens over – 40 tournament, the Old Sebastianites recorded their first win, beating the Old Royalists 71/42.
In the mens over – 50 tournament, Old Pathanians had things easy against Old Sokians, Ambalangoda, 41/22.

In the womens over – 28 tournament, the Presbytarians got off to a flying start beating the Familians, Kurunegala, 38/32.
In the women’s over 35 tournament, Familians, Bambalapitiya scored a comfortable 24/8 win over Princess of Wales, Moratuwa.
The tournament will be continued this weekend, 27th & 28th June with a card of seven matches.
