A rousing game of rugby is on the cards as Trinity College play host to Isipathana College on Saturday at Pallekelle in their inter school League rugby match. Isipathana is one of two unbeaten teams this season and are expected to go all-out to dictate terms in this game. Both sides are hoping to play the best side possible.

Trinity will try their best to upset Isipathana but it is going to be a difficult task. A fully fit Isuru Rangala is expected to make a world of difference especially as he is backed by a set of gallant fighters.

In the last game Trinity forwards gave a lion-hearted display taking the fight to Kingswood from the outset. They were a shade faster at break-down point and fed their backline with good ball to phase out moves. They proved that there is weight and mobility in the pack, with their third row being solid.

Isipathana led by Omalka Gunaratne gave out a superb display in the last outing against Science College and it will be interesting to see how Isipathana, who are good in open rugby, plan out their game.  Isipathana’s asset is their mobile pack which is about the best but against Trinity they will rely more on their speedy three-quarters.

Dinka Peiris will referee.
