Sri Lanka’s under-14 soccer team that participated in a South and Central Asia football festival held in Tajikistan returned home on Thursday having lost all their matches.
Four teams participated in this festival. They are Iran, India, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka.

In the first game Iran beat Sri Lanka 4-nil, India defeated Sri Lanka 6-nil and Tajikistan routed Sri Lanka 7-nil. With all those losses Sri Lanka finished at the bottom in the standing.

This tournament was also a qualifying tournament for the South and Central Asia tournament that is conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)
