Healthguard Pharmacy Ltd, the country’s premier urban pharmaceutical, wellness and beauty retail chain opened its re-designed flagship store located at Dharmapala Mawatha recently.
The opening ceremony was graced by Unilever Sri Lanka Chairperson Shazia Syed, Group Chairman Sunshine Holdings PLC Munir Shaikh, Managing Director, Hemas Pharmaceuticals Sanjeew Samaranayake, Founder Chairman, Sunshine Healthcare Lanka G. Sathasivam, Group Managing Director, Sunshine Holdings PLC Vish Govindasamy, Managing Director, Sunshine Healthcare Lanka Shyam Sathasivam, and other distinguished guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Shyam Sathasivam said, “Our view of healthcare retailing is not limited to the narrow focus of pharmaceuticals. To us healthcare retailing is about enhanced living (wellness), looking and feeling better (beauty and healing).”

The newly designed store aims to be the go-to destination for people seeking a holistic approach to better living. Housing a wide collection of brands including color cosmetics, perfumes, spectacles, mobile phone accessories, etc. within a larger floor area, the new store has been designed for convenience while offering a richer shopping experience.
The launch of the redesigned store is in line with the company’s focus on offering a wider range of healthcare and personal products to engage customer preferences. Beauty Advisers are also on hand to help customers make decisions on cosmetic and skin care products.
