Sri Lanka A are still way behind the Pakistan A team total on the third day of the third unofficial test match being played at Dambulla yesterday.

Sri Lanka A openers Dananjaya de Silva and Udara Jayasundara made a steady start to their second innings by being unbeaten and the total on 75 for no loss.

Pakistan A declared their first innings on 580 for eight wickets with a lead of 307 runs to apply the pressure on Sri Lanka A.

Shan Masood went on to top score on 182 runs with 26 boundaries while Umar Amin also went on to score 127 runs with three sixes and 14 fours.

This pair put on 204 runs for the second wicket to carry the visitors to a strong position.
After that there was another century partnership of 124 runs for the fifth wicket between Shan Masood and Ali Asad who chipped with 89 runs. Asad hit 18 boundaries during his watchful knock.

Lahiru Gamage was the only successive bowler capturing four wickets for 112 runs off 30 overs.

Batting a second time Sri Lanka had reached 75 without loss at the time of going to press.
