Pakistan A had made a strong reply being 214 for four wickets against Sri Lanka A on the third day in their unofficial second Test being played at Pallekelle Stadium yesterday.

Chameera grabbed two early wickets to put the visitors on the back foot but a fighting fourth wicket stand between Usman Salahuddin (65 n.o.) and skipper Fawad Alam (64) took them to a respectable total when going into press.

Pakistan A are still 113 runs behind with six wickets in hand and the game looks to be heading to a stale mate.
